Lifestyle brand The Other House has confirmed that it will open its second ‘residents club’ in winter 2024.

The brand first announced plans for its Covent Garden location in January 2022, but has now broken ground on the site just moments from the area’s renowned piazza.

The Other House brand launched in 2019 and aims for its clubs to combine apartment-style living with hotel-style facilities, catering to both short and long-stay travellers. It debuted in London last year, with a site in South Kensington which we reviewed shortly after it opened.

The Other House Covent Garden will occupy the site of the Wellington Block, which comprises seven separate buildings including a former rectory.

The property will include apartment-style ‘Club Flats’ along with a bar and rooftop terrace, an all day brasserie, private dining rooms and a wellness space with a subterranean pool, treatment areas and a high-tech gym.

There are also plans to create a four-storey internal glazed atrium and to add a further three floors in order to provide views across central London.

Much like the South Kensington outpost, the property will feature bold colours, textural fabrics and botanical prints throughout the rooms and public spaces.

Naomi Heaton, CEO and founder of The Other House, said:

“We are delighted to finally be underway working on our location for The Other House’s second Residents Club. Our Covent Garden site embodies everything we want to achieve – sensitively restoring a historic space in prime central London and transforming it into something that truly caters for the modern, global traveller and the local community. It’s thrilling to share a first glimpse of what’s to come”.

There are further plans to open a site in Belgravia, as well as sites internationally.

Business Traveller also spoke to Heaton for the Members Only feature in the September 2022 issue of the magazine.
