Virgin Atlantic has relaunched its ‘Twilight Check In’ service for customers departing Manchester airport.
In a tweet the carrier announced the return of the service from today (May 31), enabling passengers to check in and tag and drop checked luggage the evening before flight departures.
In a subsequent tweeted reply to a customer query, the airline confirmed that twilight check-in is offered between 1600 and 2000, for all flights departing the following day.
Virgin has previously offered a twilight service at Manchester and Gatwick airport prior to Covid-19. The carrier no longer operates flights from Gatwick, and in a tweet the airline said it does not currently have any plans to offer the service at Heathrow.
Virgin Atlantic currently operates flights from Manchester to Atlanta, Barbados, New York JFK and Orlando.
In 2019 the carrier announced plans to open a Clubhouse at the airport – this was delayed due to the pandemic, and as yet there is no confirmed opening date for the facility.
