Rosewood Hotel Group has announced plans for its first property in South Korea.

The 250-room Rosewood Seoul will be housed within The Parkside Seoul development next to Yongsan Park, with frontage along the city’s along Noksapyeong-daero.

Features will include seven restaurants and bars, 1,800 sqm of events space, and a 4,500 sqm Asaya spa, offering an indoor pool, saunas, a fitness centre and an indoor golf facility.

The property is set to open in 2027, and will form part of a mixed-use development on the site of the city’s former UN command, which when completed will offer high-end retail and residential units, as well as “expansive outdoor space” and the hotel.

Hong Kong headquartered Rosewood currently operates a portfolio of 30 hotels, resorts and residences in 18 countries, with recent openings including Rosewood Vienna and Rosewood Sao Paulo.

Forthcoming properties in the Asia-Pacific region include Rosewood Shenzhen, Rosewood Chengdu, Rosewood Shanghai, and Rosewood Miyakojima.
