SWISS has reopened its non-Schengen lounge at Zurich airport following refurbishment.
The 650 sqm space is located in the airport’s transfer zone, in the D Gates area of Terminal D.
The lounge features views of the airport apron and the Alps in the distance, with decor combining light wood with “Swiss slate elements and soft claret tones”.
The carrier said that “The combination of natural elements and muted colours is also in harmony with the ‘SWISS Senses’ design” – earlier this year the airline unveiled the concept which will be rolled out across its new long-haul cabins from 2025.
Facilities include seating for up to 160 guests, as well as a bistro focusing on “fresh, healthy and varied cuisine”, a work area with three workstations, a rest zone and showers.
The lounge is open daily from 0530 to 2200, for SWISS business and first class customers, as well Senator and HON Circle members, and business class passengers travelling with Star Alliance carriers.
Commenting on the reopening SWISS’ head of brand experience Julia Hillenbrand, said:
“I am delighted that we can again offer our travellers in Zurich Airport’s non-Schengen zone a lounge experience with outstanding service quality that fully meets all our premium aspirations and caters to the diverse needs of our customers.
“With its colours and its materials, our restyled lounge gives our guests a new and enhanced sense of comfort and well-being.”
