1 Hotel Mayfair is set to open this summer on the corner of Berkeley Street and Piccadilly.
The 181-room property will be housed within the former Holiday Inn London Mayfair – which closed in early 2020 – and is being billed a “London’s very first mission-driven sustainable luxury hotel”.
Features will include the ground-floor Dovetale restaurant by two Michelin-starred chef Tom Sellers, as well as an adjacent cocktail bar, coffee shop, fitness centre and Bamford Wellness Spa.
Sustainable elements include living moss walls in guest rooms, timber flooring from fallen trees, reclaimed metal floor tiles and solar panels, and specially commissioned artwork by marine-plastic artist Steve McPherson.
Rates are set to start from £800 per night.
The property is part of SH Hotels & Resorts, which currently operates ten 1 Hotels in locations including New York, Nashville, San Francisco and Toronto, as well as developments in Hanalei Bay, Cabo San Lucas, Paris, Mission Bay, Elounda Hills and Melbourne
The group also owns the Baccarat Hotels brand which currently counts one property in New York, and the Treehouse Hotels brand which debuted on London’s Langham Place in 2019.
