Hilton has announced plans to add its first Conrad Hotels and Resorts property in Germany.

The former Park Hyatt Hamburg, which closed earlier this month, is set to be refurbished and rebranded as the Conrad Hamburg, with an opening date of 2024.

The hotel is housed within the city’s historic Levantehaus building on Monckebergstrasse, which was built in 1912 as an office, and was converted into a shopping arcade in 1997.

When the property reopens as the Conrad Hamburg it will offer 238 rooms including 25 suites and 32 residential suites, as well as a lounge bar and restaurant, a wellness centre with spa, fitness centre and pool, and nine meeting rooms.

Conrad Hamburg will join 15 properties currently operating or under development under the luxury brand in the EMEA region, including the recently opened Conrad Chia Laguna Sardinia and Conrad Rabat Arzana.
