Abu Dhabi-based hotel management company Rotana earlier this month announced the signing of a management agreement for the Luxor Rotana in Egypt.

The luxury five-star resort is set to open in Q4 2023 and will cater to both business and leisure travellers.

The new property will be in close proximity to the city’s ancient ruins and offer River Nile views and more than 18,000 sqm of garden space.

It will feature 319 rooms, including 48 suites and one presidential suite offering views of the city.

Dining options at the property include a lobby lounge, an all-day dining restaurant offering breakfast, lunch and dinner, a bar, and Kamoon, a Rotana-developed restaurant.

Services and amenities at Luxor Rotana include a spa and treatment rooms, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, steam and sauna facilites, and a dedicated kid’s club.

There are also tennis courts and a fully equipped gym on the property. Business travellers can access four meeting venues within the resort.

“As we build on our expansion plans in the region, the signing of Luxor Rotana delivers on our strategic goal to further grow our portfolio in North Africa. Egypt is a key market for us with significant potential and we look forward to further building our brand presence in the country,” said Guy Hutchinson, president and CEO of Rotana.
