Palazzo Versace Dubai, located in Dubai’s Jaddaf Waterfront, confirmed this week that it will join the Global Hotel Alliance (GHA).

The Dubai-based GHA reportedly represents a collection of 40 brands with over 800 hotels in 100 countries serving 21 million members. GHA’s brands include Anantara, Corinthia, JA Resorts, Kempinski, and Nikki Beach, among several others.

Palazzo Versace Dubai is now part of the GHA Discovery hospitality rewards programme that offers members recognition, benefits, and rewards across all GHA-member properties worldwide.

GHA CEO Chris Hartley said, “An iconic luxury property of distinction, Palazzo Versace Dubai is the perfect fit for GHA’s Ultratravel Collection, which features many of the world’s most exclusive hotels, resorts, and palaces. Palazzo Versace Dubai adds yet another dimension to the enriching travel experiences GHA Discovery offers and the property now has access to the loyalty programme’s 21 million members.”

The recently revised GHA Discovery programme has benefits including: Discovery Dollars (D$), the industry’s first digital rewards currency; Recognition, with more tiers, enhanced benefits, and rewards from the first stay; and Live Local, which provides lifestyle experiences, offers and promotions – from spa days and dining offers to weekend staycations.

The GHA Discovery programme generates approximately US$2 billion in revenue and more than eight million room nights annually.

The hotel says that every piece of furniture and fabric within the 215 hotel rooms and suites, and 169 residences, is designed and tailor-made by Versace exclusively for the Palazzo Versace Hotel in Dubai.

Each of the hotel’s eight restaurants and bars are also designed to incorporate an al fresco terrace to reflect the heritage of Palazzos.

In related developments for GHA, NH Hotel Group officially joined the GHA earlier this month and has migrated its loyalty scheme over to the GHA Discovery programme.
