Marriott has completed “extensive renovations” of the Sheraton Amsterdam Airport Hotel and Conference Centre.
The 417-room property is directly connected to Amsterdam Schiphol, and has been revamped as part of Sheraton’s “new vision”, which draws on brand’s roots “as a community hub for locals and guests at flagship locations globally”.
Room decor has been inspired by Dutch flower fields, grasslands and the architecture around the airport, while the three crosses from the Coat of Arms of Amsterdam are reflected in the design for the hotel reception.
The new all-day dining Commune Restaurant features a “vegetarian-forward” menu, while the upscale Stripes Restaurant has a focus on grilled dishes.
The hotel is currently running a special opening offer including 20 per cent off room rates, access to the Sheraton Club and a welcome drink at Commune. The offer is valid for stays completed by August 31, 2022, when using the promotional code LPR.
Marriott intends to have renovated or opened over 40 Sheraton properties (out of a portfolio of around 450) by the end of 2022.
Hotels including the Sheraton Grand Dubai, Sheraton Tel Aviv, Sheraton Phoenix Downtown, Sheraton Denver Downtown and Sheraton Guangzhou all now feature the feature the new design, as well as the new-build Sheraton Mianyang which opened last summer.
