Hilton has opened its largest Conrad property in Asia, with the unveiling of the Conrad Shanghai.

Located at 789 East Nanjing Road, the hotel’s 728 rooms occupy a 66-floor tower with views of The Bund and the city’s Pudong district.

Features include a 44th floor executive lounge, as well as seafood, Spanish, French and Chinese restaurants, a bar and lounge located on the 64th and 65th floors, a fitness centre and indoor pool, and 2,500 sqm of pillarless events space including an 864 sqm ballroom.

Interiors have been inspired “by the essence of traditional Chinese philosophy and architecture”, with design elements including “a Chinese rooftop cornice with sweeping curvature” suspended as a lobby centrepiece, and a colour palette drawn from the five natural elements.

To celebrate the opening, Hilton Honors members staying at the property by April 30 this year will earn a bonus 5,000 point per night when booking direct.

Conrad Shanghai join ten other properties under the brand in mainland China, including Conrad Beijing, Conrad Tianjin, Conrad Hangzhou, Conrad Guangzhou, and the recently opened Conrad Jiuzhaigou.
