Hilton has opened its 400th Chinese hotel, with the unveiling of a property in the northeastern city of Lanzhou.

The Hilton Lanzhou City Center is the first property under the Hilton Hotels and Resorts brand in Gansu Province, and is located in the city’s central business district, with features including a top floor lobby with views of the Yellow River.

Facilities include a swimming pool (opening from the end of February 2022), JCH restaurant serving Xi Bei province cuisine, and Yun all-day-dining buffet restaurant.

Of the 400 openings in the country, 200 of those have been under the group’s Hampton brand. Hilton also recently debuted its extended-stay Home 2 Suites brand in China, with a property in the southeastern city of Shenzhen.

Earlier this year the group also signed a multi-hotel deal with Shimao Group Holdings Ltd to open four Chinese properties under its Conrad and Waldorf Astoria brands. Hilton is targeting 1,000 openings in the country by 2025.
