Hilton has made a permanent change to the expiration policy for points within its Hilton Honors programme.
Points will now remain valid in members’ accounts for up to 24 months where there is no activity, up from the previous 15 months.
Hilton Honors has currently paused points expiration until December 31, 2022, as part of its response to the Covid-19 pandemic, which also includes extending member statuses until March 31, 2023.

Readers are also reminded that they can keep their Hilton Honors points active indefinitely with any of the following actions:
- Staying at one of more than 6,700 Hilton hotels
- Earning or redeeming points with any Hilton Honors partner
- Earning points with a Hilton Honors co-branded credit card
- Purchasing or donating points
