Marriott has opened the first hotel featuring a refreshed room design for its Delta Hotels brand.

The new design concept has debuted at the brand’s newly opened Delta Hotels by Marriott Santa Clara Silicon Valley property – the first Delta Hotels property in Northern California.

Design elements include “a bright, neutral palette with rich yet unobtrusive accents of colour”, with a headboard wall featuring large format artwork, which “plays with softened shapes and linework”… “reinforcing the brand’s design concept of simplified forms”.

The refurbished hotel (which previously traded as the Biltmore Hotel Santa Clara) is located close to Santa Clara Convention Centre and the Levi Stadium, and around three miles from Mineta San Jose International airport.

Features include 263 rooms, a heated swimming pool, a fitness centre, a full service restaurant and bar, all-American breakfast restaurant Zin Café, a coffee shop, and 8,000 square feet of meeting and events space.

Marriott acquired the Canadian Delta Hotels brand in 2015, and added its first European property in Frankfurt in 2018.

It has since grown the brand to a portfolio of around 100 hotels worldwide, including five UK properties in Brockworth, Milton Keynes, Nottingham, Telford and Warwick.
