Marriott has opened the first property under its extended stay Residence Inn brand in Colombia.
The Residence Inn by Marriott Bogota is located on Calle 90 close to the capital’s 93rd Street Park, and next to the Mercado del Chico dining complex.
The property offers 131 suites, mixed between studio, one and two-bedrooms categories, and all featuring full equipped kitchens as well as “large in-suite workspaces with a well-lit desk, ergonomic seat and high-speed wireless internet access”.
Guests benefits from complimentary breakfast, and there is also a grocery delivery option.
Marriott said that the hotel’s design “makes use of organic materials and textures combined with warm colours, transition palettes, as well as textiles and ancestral Colombian goldwork that feature crisp and inspiring details, offering comfort the moment a guest enters the hotel lobby”.
The Residence Inn concept is designed for stays of rive nights or more, and comprises a portfolio of 850 properties across 15 countries and territories.
The brand recently opened a hotel at Brussels airport, as well as its first property in Mexico, located in Merida, the inland capital of the state of Yucatan.
Commenting on the opening Diane Mayer, Vice President and Global Brand Manager of Classic Select Brands, Marriott International, said:
“We are very pleased to introduce the Residence Inn by Marriott brand for the first time in Colombia. We’ve seen increased demand for longer stay brands that offer modern amenities, open room layouts and sophisticated design to spread out, recharge and maintain a healthy balance while on the road, whether for business or for fun.”
