Radisson Hotel Group has announced plans for its third property in Morocco and second in the port city of Casablanca.
The new-build Radisson Hotel Casablanca Gauthier La Citadelle is scheduled to open in 2023 overlooking the city’s Arab League Park, and will form part of the mixed use La Citadelle development, which will also offer residential office and retail space.
Features will include 133 rooms and suites, a rooftop restaurant and pool, a second all day dining restaurant, fitness centre and “a large conference and function room as well as five meeting rooms”.

Radisson Hotel Casablanca Gauthier La Citadelle will join two Radisson Blu properties in Morocco – Radisson Blu Hotel Casablanca City Centre, and Radisson Blu Hotel, Marrakech Carre Eden.
Ramsay Rankoussi, vice president, development, Africa and Turkey, Radisson Hotel Group, said that Morocco was “a key focus market in our African development strategy”.
“We aim to grow our Moroccan portfolio to over 15 hotels within the next three to five years, and Casablanca is a key city where we are looking to expand our footprint to more than five hotels.
“We expect to introduce each of our remaining three brands but also cover all segments, from business hotels to resort properties, as well as serviced apartments.”
