Melia has announced plans for a second property under its lifestyle Innside brand in China.

Innside by Melia Qujiang Xian will be located in the Qujiang New District of Xi’an in northwest China, and will feature over 200 rooms “with eco-friendly elements”, as well as “a variety of flexible dining options, creative meeting and working facilities, and the brand’s signature Infit fitness experience.

The hotel is slated to open in 2025, and will join six existing Melia properties in China, including the Gran Melia Xi’an.

The group also has six further developments in the pipeline across China, including Melia Qinhan New Town, an urban resort located in the Xixian New Area of Xi’an.

Innside by Melia Qujiang Xian will join the existing Innside Zhengzhou as the brand’s second property in the country.

The Innside brand was acquired by Melia Hotels International (then known as Sol Melia) in 2007, and has recently seen steady expansion, moving from eight to over 30 properties in the last five years.

According to Melia, Innside properties offer “multifunctional lobbies where to enjoy the most unexpected encounters, creative meeting spaces, 24/7 exercise classes, endless wifi and relaxing wellness areas”.

The group will open an Innside hotel in Newcastle next month, and further properties are expected to open in Amsterdam, Liverpool and Luxembourg this year.
