The Johri-Jaipur Lal Haveli is the latest boutique hotel, opened in Jaipur’s gemstone district Johri Bazaar (Jewellers’ Market).
The hotel is launched in partnership with Abhishek Honawar from Honawar Hospitality and Siddharth Kasliwal of The Gem Palace. The owner of the property is Sudhandhu Kasliwal.
Designed by New York-based designer Naina Shah, the three-storey property pays homage to Rajasthan’s rich culture and heritage. It strikes a fine balance between understated luxury, neat-lined, contemporary feel, and ancient decor elements such as pichwai paintings, antique furniture and local crafts and textiles.
The property offers five spacious suites overlooking an inner courtyard, a restaurant, and a cocktail bar.
Guests can visit the Pukhraj Lounge offering a signature high-chai (tea) service in the afternoon. The lounge also transforms into an intimate cocktail bar serving in-house creative cocktails and light bites.
The Johri is a key development in the renaissance of the old ‘walled city’ of Jaipur, which was named as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2019.
