Hyatt has opened its first hotel under the Hyatt Regency brand in Switzerland, located at Zurich Airport’s brand-new hub The Circle.

The Circle opened in November 2020 and is an 180,000 sqm development directly connected to the airport terminals, which features retail, offices, health facilities and restaurants alongside a 80,000 sqm park with greenery and running paths.

The 255-room Hyatt Regency Zurich Airport The Circle is located just steps away from Zurich Airport and has direct access to The Circle Convention Centre, one of the largest conference venues in Switzerland which is set to hold its first events this spring.

The hotel has a dedicated working area in each room and complimentary wifi. Dining facilities include Restaurant Babel, which serves Middle Eastern cuisine, Bar Iris, which offers Swiss-inspired dishes amid views of the main square, and 24-hour takeaway café Zum Mitnah. The property also has a 24-hour gym with a sauna.

Benno Geruschkat, general manager of Hyatt Regency Zurich Airport The Circle, commented:

“Hyatt Regency Zurich Airport The Circle has been designed to meet the needs of travelers who seek flexible and energizing experiences, and will offer intuitive and seamless experiences to business and leisure travelers alike.

“The Hyatt Regency brand fosters the connections that matter most, and we are excited to offer our guests the perfect place to work, engage and relax.”

The new hotel will be joined by a Hyatt Place branded hotel at The Circle later this year, while Zurich’s La Gruyere district will also see the addition of the first Alila property in Europe in 2024.
