Hyatt has opened a property under its Hyatt Regency brand in the Chinese city of Ningbo, located beside the Hangzhou Bay Bridge.

The 319-room Hyatt Regency Ningbo Hangzhou Bay is described as an “energising hub” and “connecting point” thanks to its access to the world’s longest sea-crossing bridge which links Ningbo, Shanghai, Hangzhou and Suzhou. There is also a daily airport shuttle which offers transport to Ningbo Lishe International Airport.

Ningbo Hangzhou Bay New Area is a business district, home to automotive, technology and finance industries as well as coastal scenery. The hotel is located a short drive from the National Wetland Park, a bird migration watching spot, and Fangte Oriental Heritage theme park.

All rooms feature floor-to-ceiling views, sleek design and smart technology including 65-inch flat-screen HDTVs, Bluetooth music players and high-speed Internet. Several rooms include private balconies, and guests staying in Regency Club rooms are given access to the lounge on the 22nd floor and receive a complimentary daily breakfast and all-day drinks.

There are four restaurants and lounges on-site. Xiang Yue offers authentic Ningbo seafood, classic Cantonese dishes and signature Peking duck, and has 13 private dining rooms. Market Café features open kitchens in a modern market garden and offers an all-day a la carte menu, and there’s a lounge with décor inspired by a classical garden and a menu featuring wines, cocktails, seasonal afternoon tea and light snacks. Guests will have to wait until July 2021 to experience the 23rd floor Hai Bar which is connected to the roof garden and will offer fine wines, spirits and live music.

The hotel also offers over 3,000 sqm of meeting and event spaces, a 24-hour fitness centre, and a 25-metre heated indoor swimming pool.

Stephen Ho, President of Growth and Operations for Asia Pacific at Hyatt, commented:

“As our Hyatt Regency portfolio continues to expand exponentially in China, we’re delighted to welcome a new, energizing hotel in the Yangtze River Delta and offer guests a space to make meaningful connections whether they are traveling for business or leisure.

“Hyatt Regency Ningbo Hangzhou Bay brings world-class hospitality, enticing dining and intuitive meeting spaces to the emerging strategic commercial and ecological tourism destination.”

Richard Wu, General Manager of Hyatt Regency Ningbo Hangzhou Bay, added:
