Turkish Airlines subsidiary Anadolujet is to launch its first flights from Birmingham airport this summer.

The airline will launch daily flights to the leisure destinations of Antalya and Dalaman on July 19, using 189-seat B737-800 aircraft.

Flight TK7970 will depart Dalaman at 0910, arriving into Birmingham at 1140, with the return leg TK7971 leaving the UK at 1240, landing back into Dalaman at 1850.

Meanwhile flight TK7968 will depart Antalya at 0900, arriving into Birmingham at 1140, with the return leg TK7969 leaving the UK at 1240, landing back into Antalya at 1850.

Anadolujet also operates flights from both Antalya and Dalaman to London Stansted, while parent carrier Turkish Airlines already serves Istanbul from Birmingham.

Commenting on the news Omer Faruk, Turkish Airlines’ general manager, Birmingham, said:
