Ginger, the budget hotel chain under Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has announced the signing of two hotels in Kochi, Kerala.

The 100-room Ginger Kochi will have an all-day diner, meeting rooms and a fitness centre. It will be located on the Karaid airport road, offering easy access to the Cochin International Airport (CIA). It is a greenfield project and will cater to the demand from the airport, MICE from the CIA Convention Centre and the surrounding industrial areas

Another property, Ginger Kochi, Kalamassery will be located on Kochi-Salem Highway, opposite Cochin University Metro Station.

The hotel will feature 75 well-equipped rooms, an all-day diner, event spaces and a fitness centre.

It will offer easy access to Cochin SEZ and the commercial hub of Kalamassery that houses key IT companies, industries, Cochin University and the Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium. The project is in the brownfield stage.

With the new addition, IHCL will have 12 hotels in Kerala, including four under development.
