Ginger, the budget hotel chain under Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), has announced the signing of a new hotel in Zirakpur, Chandigarh.

Zirakpur is a satellite town neighbouring Chandigarh. It is a real estate hub and offers easy access to IT city Mohali and Chandigarh International Airport.

The town is also the wedding capital of the region with numerous event venues.

This Ginger hotel is a brown-field mixed-use development project. It is a part of Dhillon Plaza, which is located amidst a buzzing commercial hub on National Highway 152 connecting Chandigarh and Delhi.

The hotel will feature 110 rooms, an all-day diner and a bar. In addition, there will be two meeting rooms and a fitness centre.

Deepika Rao, managing director and chief executive officer, Ginger Hotels said:

“We are delighted to partner with Silicon Constructions for this hotel. Zirakpur is a fast-growing city in the Chandigarh metropolitan region and Ginger, with its energising new experience, is well poised to capture the growing demand of the city of Chandigarh.”

This will be IHCL’s second hotel in Chandigarh.
