Ginger, the budget hotel chain under Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has announced the signing of its second hotel in Guwahati, Assam. This is a Greenfield project.

Guwahati is the largest metropolis of northeastern India and one of the 98 smart cities under a project embarked on by the Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India.

Located on Rajgarh Road, the Ginger hotel will offer easy access to some of the most interesting spots in the region.

The hotel will feature 76 rooms, an all-day restaurant and bar.

Meeting room and banquet hall will be available for hosting business and social events. Recreational amenities include a well-equipped fitness centre.

Deepika Rao, managing director and chief executive officer, Ginger Hotels said, “The signing of this hotel is in line with our strategy of being present in micro markets of all state capitals and commercial centres of India. It also renews our commitment to northeast India. We are delighted to partner with Deepankar Deka for this hotel.”

With the signing of this hotel, IHCL will have three hotels in Assam and eight hotels in northeast India.
