British Airways Holidays customers have given the company a 97 per cent approval rating with that percentage saying they ‘would buy again’ having travelled over the course of this summer and autumn.
The survey which was carried out by Reevoo is from a base of 6,580 customers who travelled with British Airways Holidays from July 1 to November 30, 2020.
For those who travelled, 97 per cent said they ‘would buy again from British Airways Holidays’ (in comparison to 94 per cent for the same period in 2019). For those who did not travel and sought refunds, the Reevoo feedback states “overall satisfaction with how your cancellation was handled” as being rated as 9.1/10 by customers (from a base of 4,232 customers who requested a holiday cancellation between April – June 2020).
The ratings come on the same day that website Money Saving Expert has also released its latest findings of how travel companies have handled the refunds and response to customers during the pandemic.
The best firms for refunds in that survey are Travel Counsellors, Trailfinders, Haven, Jet2 and Jet2 Holidays as well as Hays Travel.
Many travel companies and airlines are promoting sales at the moment, most with very flexible cancellation policies including free refunds. British Airways Holidays version is its ‘Customer Promise’, which includes:
- Changing the booking for free and paying any difference in price, or cancelling the holiday and receiving a voucher for travel valid until April, 30 2022 (for journeys due to have been completed by 31 August 2021)
- Opting to secure a holiday with a low deposit (from £75 per person)
- Choosing flexible payments
- The choice to defer payment of the final balance until three weeks before travel
- ATOL protection
- A 24-hour holiday helpline
