Air France has extended its current fully flexible ticketing policy, as part of the carrier’s ‘Air France Protect’ programme.

All tickets are now “fully changeable or refundable, free of charge and without proof, up to the day of departure, for trips up to September 30, 2021”.

The carrier also highlighted the airfrance.traveldoc.aero section of its website, where customers can view the travel restrictions and conditions imposed by authorities at their destination.

France recently imposed a nationwide stay-at-home curfew between the hours of 2000 and 0600, but Air France stressed that an air ticket and exemption certificate are valid as a waiver for travelling to and from the airport, regardless of flight departure time.

The airline launched the ‘Air France Protect’ programme earlier this year, grouping together the measures it has taken as a result of the pandemic, from surgical face mask requirements to social distancing, provision of hand sanitiser and the regular disinfection of self-service kiosks.

Air France lounges have gradually reopened, with changes including the replacement of hot and cold buffets with a waiter service, and the closure of bar areas, treatment rooms and children’s areas.

From January the carrier will also be providing all long-haul passengers with a hygiene kit containing a surgical mask, virucidal disinfectant wipe and hand sanitiser.

Covid-19 testing centres have also be launched at Paris CDG and Paris Orly airports, in partnership with Cerballiance.
