Jumeirah Hotels and Resorts is gearing up to reopen its Carlton Towers property in London’s Knightsbridge later this year.
The hotel was closed in September 2019 for “significant remodelling”, and is now advertising a reopening date of December 2020.
All guestrooms and suites have been refurbished, with the overall number of rooms reduced from 216 to 186, to allow for the creation of new Signature and Junior suites.
The hotel’s spa has also been revamped, as has the lobby area, and a new “celebrity destination restaurant” is set to be unveiled on Sloane Street.
Jumeirah has two other properties in London – the Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel and the Grosvenor House Suites by Jumeirah Living. Both properties are currently closed, with the latter carrying the following message:
“As part of our commitment to the health and safety of our guests and employees, and following the advice of the UK Government, we have taken the difficult decision to temporarily suspend operations at Grosvenor House Suites by Jumeirah Living until further notice. The situation will be continually re-evaluated and we hope to be able to welcome our valued guests back to our suites soon.”
