Wyndham Hotels and Resorts has launched a bonus points offer aimed at getting customers to book and stay at its properties in the coming weeks.

The ‘Stay Two Nights, Earn a Free Night’ promotion sees Wyndham Rewards members earn 7,500 bonus points when booking a two-night stay at participating hotels.

The reservation must be made by September 8, and the stay completed by September 10. Members must pre-register for the offer here.

Wyndham says that the bonus points – which are in addition to any normal points earned during the stay – are “enough for a free night at thousands of hotels”.

Free nights at properties across the group range from between 7,500 points to 30,000 points – according to the group’s page here (when filtering by points), around 2,400 hotels have a redemption rate of 7,500 points.

As travel restrictions ease hotel groups are incentivising stays with “return to travel” promotions – last month IHG launched a the ‘A Night On Us’ offer, with discounted rates at participating European properties when booking three or more consecutive nights.

Commenting on the news said Sheila Schottland, vice president of Brand Marketing at Wyndham Hotels and Resorts, said:

“With everyday travellers out there travelling, and vacationers gearing up for road trips this summer and fall, Wyndham is reminding every kind of traveller that our hotels are open, ready to welcome them, and within reach.

“This promotion, along with our latest ad campaign, offers travellers a chance to consider where their next stay will take them – whether it is a quick car trip to reconnect with their family or a longer vacation to get away from it all – and makes it that much more rewarding with enough Wyndham Rewards bonus points for a free night stay towards future trips.”
