Marriott International is offering healthcare professionals a “special rate” to book hotel rooms in properties across Asia Pacific until February 28, 2021.
Known as the ‘Healthcare Hero Rate’, healthcare professionals will get a discount (rate dependent on property) at “participating Marriott International hotels” in the Asia Pacific region.
In Hong Kong, eleven hotels are offering a discount of 15 to 25 per cent off the best available rate, including: Skycity Marriott Hotel, Courtyard Hong Kong, JW Marriott Hong Kong, Renaissance Harbour View Hotel, Le Meridien Cyberport, Marriott Ocean Park, Sheraton, Courtyard Shatin, St Regis Hong Kong, W Hotel and The Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong.
Business Traveller Asia-Pacific has asked Marriott for a full list of participating hotels in the Asia Pacific region.
Marriott says guests will need to show proof of employment or medical registration upon check in. Rates can be confirmed and bookings can be made directly through the chosen property, the company added.
In April, the company introduced its community caregiver programme offering discount rates at 80 properties in the Asia Pacific region that were located near hospitals and government buildings for medical workers.
A number of hotels have either offered discounts or free rooms to health care workers in the wake of the coronavirus crisis.
