If you fancy two, one Michelin-starred dining experiences in west Japan under one roof, then The Ritz-Carlton, Osaka is an ideal pick. Recently, the hotel’s Japanese restaurant Tempura by Hanagatami and French restaurant La Baie have both been awarded one Michelin star each in the Michelin Guide to Kyoto and Osaka 2020. For some fine French fare, there is La Baie that combines modern cuisine made with traditional techniques. Using local ingredients is at the core of the restaurant’s culinary practices. Some delicacies from their dinner menu include duck foie gras terrine with pigeon, gingerbread, sherry vinegar and pickles and crispy amadai fish, vegetable compote and spicy crustacean sauce.
