The Ritz-Carlton Osaka’s Hanagatami restaurant is ideal for those looking to explore the rich food culture of Osaka. Inspired by a traditional Japanese garden, the restaurant specialises in five Oriental flavours including sushi, sumibiyaki, teppanyaki and tempura.
I indulged in an authentic kaiseki meal featuring seasonal ingredients and vegetables. Crafted meticulously, this multi-course Japanese meal was a perfect blend of flavour and texture.
If you are in the mood for a grilled recipe, then sumibiyaki at Hanagatami is highly recommended. Seafood, poultry and vegetables are prepared over ubame oak charcoal that gives them a natural flavour.
The restaurant also serves excellent tempura options that can be paired with the chef’s signature sauce and champagne.
Along with authentic Japanese fare, Hanagatami also spoils you for choice with its high-end alcohol selection.
