The flag carrier of Poland and a Star Alliance member since 2003, LOT Polish Airlines has announced its India expansion by starting direct flights on Delhi-Warsaw route. The airline is deploying its Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft (B787-8 and B787-9) with a three-class configuration: economy, premium economy and business, on this route. There will be five flights per week, operated on this route.

Flight Schedule:

Flight No Departure Arrival Time of Departure Time of Arrival Frequency
LO-072 Delhi Warsaw 1115 1545 Daily except Tuesday and Friday
LO-071 Warsaw Delhi 2245 0915 (+1) Daily except Monday and Thursday

As of now, the airline’s summer schedule begins from September 12, 2019, to October 26, 2019.

Rafał Milczarski, chief executive officer, LOT Polish Airlines believes  that the new LOT flight will play a key role in strengthening economic ties between the two countries. Adding to this, he says, “There is a huge potential of air travel, almost 9.5 million passengers travelled between India and Europe and 3.3 million between Delhi and Europe during the last 12 months. Our convenient schedule, including an overnight eastbound flight, a comfortable onboard product and seamless connectivity via Warsaw, will certainly increase the flow of business and leisure travellers coming to and from India.”

In terms of onboard connectivity, the new route is quite favourable — starting from just 40 minutes transit time to London City Airport, Paris, Brussels, Kraków, Geneva, Amsterdam, Stuttgart, Nuremberg, Hanover, Oslo, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Berlin, Billund, Prague and Budapest.

LOT Polish Airlines is also a fully integrated member of the Miles and More frequent flyer programme. lot.com
