LOT Polish Airlines plans to launch a four-times-weekly service between Warsaw and Beijing Daxing International Airport.

The official WeChat account of Beijing’s new airport published a post in early July saying that the Polish flag carrier will fly to the new airport from October 28, 2019. However, it has decided to postpone the launch of the service until mid-January due to problems with the Rolls Royce Trent 1000 engines on its Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.

The outbound flight is scheduled to leave Warsaw Chopin Airport (WAW) at 2240 on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, and land at Beijing Daxing International Airport (PKX) at 1420 the following day. The return leg is set to depart from Beijing at 1600, before arriving in Warsaw at 1845 on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Meanwhile, the carrier will continue its 2012-launched thrice weekly flights between Warsaw and Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK), the Chinese capital’s main airport serving Beijing that opened back in 1958. The combination of this existing service and the new service to Daxing will see LOT’s flight frequency between Warsaw and Beijing increase to daily.
