AirAsia is to launch direct flights between Bangkok and Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Starting from May 31, 2019, the low-cost airline will offer this service four times a week — Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

Thailand is one of the most preferred destinations for Indian travellers— last year, the Southeast Asian country received 1.5 million Indian visitors, up 12 percent from the previous year. The launch of the new service will further strengthen tourism in addition to opening more business opportunities for both the regions.
AirAsia Thailand currently flies from Bangkok to nine Indian cities — Chennai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Jaipur, Kochi, Visakhapatnam, Bhubaneswar, Ahmedabad and Gaya (seasonal).
As a promotional offer, the airline has introduced all-in-fare starting from THB1,990 for Bangkok-Ahmedabad on airasia.com and the AirAsia mobile app for BIG members. This is valid for bookings until 21 April 2019 and for travel between 31 May 2019 and 4 February 2020.
