Low-cost carrier Air Asia has launched two international routes from Sarawak in eastern Malaysia, flying from Kuching to Shenzhen and from Singapore to Bintulu.

The daily AK1241 service departs Kuching at 2245 and lands in Shenzhen at 0245. The return flight AK1242 leaves China at 0350 before touching down in Malaysia at 0750.

The Singapore – Bintulu route operates four times a week. AK1284 takes off from Singapore on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at 0910 and arrives at Bintulu at 1100. The return flight AK1285 departs Malaysia at 1125 and lands in the Lion City at 1315.

Air Asia has always been committed towards expanding the markets in Sarawak and these direct flights reiterate our commitment to grow the connectivity in and out of the state.

“To date, we have flown about 4.8 million guests in and out of Sarawak, which is 12.1 percent more from 2016, with China and Singapore in the top five nationalities.”
