Mandarin Oriental has announced plans for a second hotel in the Turkish city of Istanbul, scheduled to open in 2022.

The property will be located in the Etiler residential area on the European side of the city, close to the business districts of Levent and Maslak.

The three-tower development will feature 158 hotel rooms and 16 serviced apartments, as well as 251 residences.

Hotel facilities will include three restaurants and bars, meeting space with outdoor terraces, a spa and fitness centre, and indoor and outdoor swimming pools.

The Mandarin Oriental Etiler, Istanbul will be the second property under the brand in the city, joining the Mandarin Oriental Bosphorus which was originally announced in 2013 and which is currently scheduled to open in 2020.

The group also operates a 132-room hotel on the Bodrum Peninsula.

Mandarin Oriental is set to unveil refurbishment works to its London Hyde Park property later this month, a project which was delayed following a fire which damaged the property last year.
