France’s all business class airline will upgrade its transatlantic offering in May and June.

La Compagnie will be taking delivery of two new A321LR neo aircraft in April.

Both A321LR neos will accommodate 76 passengers in an all business class layout.  The seating and other facilities onboard will be the most up-to-date and the WiFi will be unlimited and free of charge. Configuration is four-across (2-2).

The Airbuses will replace the current Boeing B757s operated transatlantic by La Compagnie which, by today’s standards, are somewhat long in the tooth.

They also have, according to La Tribune, a 30 per cent lower operating cost than the B757.

La Compagnie majors on price. Its fares are substantially lower than non-stop business class flights with one of the conventional carriers.

The Nice-New York Newark route will commence at the beginning of May initially with B757 aircraft.  There will be several flights a week (usually two or three according to La Compagnie’s website).

These will depart Nice at 1345 arriving into Newark at 1700.  The return schedule calls for a departure at 2330 with an arrival into Nice the following day at 1350.

This is a seasonal route. It will operate between May and the end of October.

La Compagnie already serves the Paris Orly to New York Newark route daily with B757s.

But from June 6 the plan is for the A321LR neo to replace one of the B757 services.

Those services to be operated by the Airbus aircraft are clearly marked on the carrier’s website display.

At the time of writing the Airbus will operate the morning flight out of Paris Orly arriving into Newark at 1300.

It will return from Newark at 1900 arriving the following morning into Paris Orly at 0840.

As schedules and aircraft deployment can change readers are advised to check with the carrier’s website nearer the time of travel.
