Etihad Airways is to increase its flight frequencies between Abu Dhabi and London Heathrow to up to four flights per day during April.

The carrier said it would add 20 roundtrip services, offering up to four flights per day over the month, in order to meet peak demand.

The extra services will be operated by two-class B787-9 aircraft, fitted with 271 economy seats and 28 Business Studios.

Etihad’s normal three flights per day between the two destinations will continue to be served by the carrier’s A380 aircraft.

The additional frequencies will operate on April 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27 and 30, as follows:

  • EY13 will depart Abu Dhabi at 0720, landing into Heathrow at 1200
  • EY14 will depart Heathrow at 1340, landing into Abu Dhabi at 2350

Commenting on the news James Harrison, General Manager for Etihad Airways in the United Kingdom and Ireland, said:
