Bespoke Hotels has announced plans for a new-build property on Manchester’s Portland Street, scheduled to open in 2020.

The 191-room Hotel Brooklyn will pay homage to “the Golden Age of New York City and the promise of the New World”, and will join the group’s existing Hotel Gotham located on the city’s King Street.

Facilities will include rooftop bar Brooklyn Heights, as well as Runyon’s restaurant, and events space for up to 220 people.

Bespoke Hotels has a portfolio of 200 properties worldwide, and says it is now the UK’s largest independent hotel group, with properties ranging from golfing hotels to spa resorts and city centre locations.

Commenting on the news Graham Marskell, Managing Director of Operations for Bespoke Hotels, said:

“We are tremendously excited to be deepening our relationship with the city of Manchester, through the launch of a new boutique property in its centre.

“We have enjoyed an extremely positive response from the local market since launching Hotel Gotham, and we hope to maintain this momentum when Brooklyn opens its doors in early 2020.”
