Renaissance Philadelphia Downtown
Situated a block from Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell is the third Renaissance brand hotel from Marriott International in the city of brotherly love. The new hotel aims to pay homage to the history of the neighbourhood in a modern, quirky way: pop-art images of famous Philadelphians hang in each of the 152 guestrooms and portraits of Benjamin Franklin’s mistresses are scattered throughout.
The Chez Ben restaurant serves French bistro standards, while M Brown’s offers a cocktail menu that heavily favours anything dark and aged. A 24-hour fitness centre, indoor pool and sauna are available to guests, as well as four meeting rooms. From around £120.

The newest offering from Melia Hotels International on the Spanish island of Majorca has opened its doors. It features 272 rooms, two with private swimming pools, and is located in the resort town of Magaluf.

The hotel will offer 109 rooms and suites, including 19 family rooms. Dedicated event space will be spread across two floors, with a large meeting room on the 12th floor overlooking the city. A restaurant with an outdoor terrace will also be available for guests to dine in.
The W Hotels brand from Marriott International is set to make its debut in Music City in 2020. It has partnered with Rockwell Group architects in an attempt to bring the culture of the city into the design of the property. There will be 346 rooms, including 50 suites and two presidential suites, as well as 1,254 sqm of event space. A gym with a yoga lawn, a pool and two restaurants, The Dutch Nashville and an Italian chophouse, will round out the hotel’s offering.
