Air India, a member of Star Alliance, has announced its first non-stop flight from Amritsar to Birmingham. The service that will launch on February 20 will fly the route twice a week.
Every Tuesday and Thursday, the airline’s Dreamliner will take off from Amritsar’s Siri Guru Ram Dass Jee International Airport at 1355 and arrive in Birmingham at 1715. The return flight will depart at 1845 and arrive in Amritsar at 0745 the next day.
Currently, Air India has one daily service between Amritsar and Birmingham, with a connection via New Delhi. This service will discontinue on Tuesdays and Thursdays, after the launch of the direct flight on February 20.
