Air France is to launch flights between Paris CDG and Nairobi next year, complementing sister airline KLM’s existing service from Amsterdam.

Starting from March 25, 2018 the French flag carrier will offer a thrice weekly service operating on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays from Paris, with flight AF814 departing at 2050 and landing into Nairobi at 0600 the following day.

The return leg AF815 will leave the Kenyan capital on Mondays, Thursday and Sundays at 0820, arriving back into Paris at 1550.

Flights will be served by a B787 Dreamliner configured for 30 business class seats, with 21 seats in premium economy and 225 in economy.

The service will be operated on a codeshare basis with fellow Skyteam member Kenya Airways, complementing the African carrier’s seven flights per week on the route.

Onward codeshare services from Nairobi to 23 regional destinations will also be possible, including Kisumu and Mombasa in Kenya, Entebbe in Uganda, Bujumbura in Burundi, Lusaka, Ndola, Livingstone and Victoria Falls in Zambia, Khartoum in Sudan, Dzaoudzi in Mayotte, Moroni in Comoros, Lilongwe in Malawi, Dar es Salam, Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar in Tanzania, Kigali in Rwanda, Addis Abeba in Ethiopia, Maputo and Nampula in Mozambique, Harare in Zimbabwe, Lubumbashi in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Djibouti and Seychelles.

KLM currently offers daily B787 flights between Amsterdam Schiphol and Nairobi.
