Delta has added Avissi prosecco to its drinks menu on international flights.

From a family estate in Veneto, the prosecco is made from 100 per cent prosecco grapes, created to “drink young, when the fruit flavours and aromas are at their very freshest.”

Commenting on the introduction, Delta’s vice president of on-board services, Lisa Bauer, said:

“Sparkling wine is often the first choice for a celebration and we know how special it is for people to jet off on a trip so we wanted to bring the celebration to them. Offering complimentary chef-curated food and drinks throughout the flight is one of the things that sets Delta apart.”

Earlier this year, the US carrier launched a refreshed selection of meals on its longest domestic flights, including beef pastrami sandwich, sesame noodle salad, Luvo wraps and a Greek mezze plate.

The enhancement is part of a multi-million dollar investment in the on-board experience, which has seen the introduction of new snacks, blankets and sleep kits.
