Wow Air is set to add four new destinations to its US network, plus a new route from Stansted.
A daily flight to Reykjavik’s Keflavik airport will operate from Stansted from April 25, 2018, departing Stansted at 1720 and arriving at 1930 in Reykjavik, while the inbound flight departs Reykjavik at 1205, landing at 1615.
The new US services will begin from spring next year to Detroit (starting April 25), Cleveland (May 3), St Louis (May 17) and Cincinnati (May 9) from the Icelandic capital.
It means Stansted will gain much sought after transatlantic service (albeit indirect), with travellers able to connect in Reykjavik and onto the US. It also signals Wow’s intention to target secondary US destinations.
