Flights from Gatwick depart at 1200 on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, with a 50-minute stopover in Iceland, before arriving into Pittsburgh at 1730. The return leg will leave the US city on Monday, Wednesday and Sunday at 1845, with a one and a half hour stopover, landing back into London at 1030 the following day.

Connecting flights from Edinburgh also depart at 1200 on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, with a one and a half hour stopover, and on the return leg there is a weekly Sunday service from Reykjavik (following a two-hour stopover at the airport), arriving into Edinburgh at 1020.

Fares for the new route start from £119.99 one way, with flights operated by single class Airbus A321 aircraft.

Wow Air’s other North American routes are: San Francisco, Los Angeles, Miami, Washington DC, New York, Boston, Toronto and Montreal.

Wow Air recently placed an order for four A321 aircraft – its first aircraft order made directly with Airbus.
