20 May 2014 by Clement Huang
Tigerair has launched a new thrice-weekly service from its base in Singapore to Xi’an. The Chinese city is home to the world-famous Terracotta Warrior Army that dates back to the Qin Dynasty. It also has the oldest ancient city wall still in existence in the country today. It is also the largest economy of the Shaanxi province, with important industries such as equipment manufacturing, tourism and service outsourcing. Flight TR2968 takes off from Singapore every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 1805, before touching down in Xi’an at 2330. The return flight sees flight TR2969 leave the Chinese city at 0745 on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, and arrive back in Singapore at 1320. All flights will be served by an Airbus A320 featuring a single-class configuration with 180 economy seats. To celebrate the launch of the new route, Tigerair is offering promotional fares starting from SG$188 (inclusive of tax and surcharges) for a return flight between Singapore and Xi’an, for travels between 16 May and 25 October. Bookings must be made by June 30 to take advantage of the offer. For more information, visit Clement Huang
