Passengers travelling through Lufthansa’s business class lounge at Munich Airport are in for a rare Bavarian-style treat, in the form of a dedicated beer garden.
The refurbished lounge, located in the Schengen departure area of Terminal 2, now includes a simulated vista of the Bavarian Alps, under which passengers can sip draught beer (from barrels) and eat Bavarian pretzels. There are even “traditional” beer tables.
The beer garden has been created in partnership with Munich’s Franziskaner brewery, and is part of the larger 1,100sqm, 300-seat lounge. Other facilities within the lounge include a re-designed bistro area, six satellite bars and 18 workstations.
The lounge is open to Lufthansa’s business class passengers and members of its Miles and More frequent flyer programme (Frequent Traveller status and higher). It is just one of six Lufthansa lounges available at Terminal 2.
