IndiGo offers “Quiet Zone” on-board

Silence

IndiGo Quiet Zone

IndiGo has introduced a “Quiet Zone” on its aircraft, keeping business travellers in mind. Seats under this zone will not be allotted to or pre-booked for passengers under the age of 12.

IndiGo Quiet Zone A statement shared by the airline reads: “Keeping in mind the comfort and convenience of all passengers — row numbers one to four and 11 to 14 are generally kept as a “Quiet Zone” on IndiGo flights. These zones have been created for business travellers who prefer to use the quiet time to do their work. Also, in order to ensure passenger safety and easy evacuation during an emergency, we avoid children below the age of 12 to be seated in these rows (adjacent to emergency exit).”

Rows 1, 12 and 13 are emergency exit rows and therefore have extra legroom. The other rows have the same legroom as the rest of the seats on-board.

Intolerance towards kids on-board has been a debatable issue for many flyers. Quiet zones in airlines helps solve this problem by keeping the two away from each other, in an effort to offer a peaceful journey to both.
