14 Jul 2014 by Clement Huang
China Airline has released more information about its new premium economy cabin that will be available on the upcoming Boeing 777-300ER. For more information about the aircraft, see here. Featuring a fixed backshell design and arranged in a 2-4-2 configuration, the premium economy cabin seats allow customers to recline without interfering those behind them. In total, there are 62 seats available, with each row being 39 inches apart from the next. The extendable leg rest gives the passenger more support and comfort, and each seat also comes with dedicated storage spaces, including a compartment for tablets on the side of the armrest, and another further up under the shoulder-level reading light, suitable for smaller items such as mobile phones and glasses. Every passenger has their own USB port and power socket, as well as a 12-inch TV monitor. The Panasonic Ex3 inflight entertainment system can be controlled either by touch, or by pressing the control located on the side of the seat. Finally, each premium economy passenger will be provided with a complimentary amenity kit, special inflight meals with designer utensils, and baggage allowance of two suitcases up to 28kg each.
