American Airlines has taken delivery of its first B777-300ER aircraft, which will serve routes including London Heathrow to both Dallas Fort Worth and New York JFK from next year.
The aircraft features AA's new fully-flat business class seat, as well as an "updated and enhanced" first class seat, pictures of which the carrier has posted on its Facebook page.
AA announced details of its new fully-flat business seat back in November 2011, which features aisle access for all passengers, a 15.4-inch TV screen, a touchscreen remote control, and “a large tray table in addition to a work surface”.

The carrier has also posted an image of the walk-up bar which will be available in the premium cabin, and which AA says will be "a first for any US airline". In a press release AA said that the new aircraft would feature "a freshly painted livery on the outside", although no further details have been given on this. In July The Wall Street Journal reported that the carrier was considering a revamp of its famous silver livery (see online news July 25). AA's B777-300ER is scheduled to debut on the carrier's Dallas Fort Worth-Sao Paulo route on January 31. Visit aa.com. Report by Mark Caswell
