Accor has announced agreements to acquire four properties in London and Edinburgh, with a new Novotel set to open in Canary Wharf by mid-2015.
The 310-room property will be located at 40 Marsh Street, south of Canary Wharf and close to Mudchute DLR station.
In Edinburgh the group will open three properties under the budget Ibis brand, with a 103-room Ibis Styles hotel set to open on St Andrews Square in the second half of next year, and two further properties to open at Edinburgh Park in 2013 and within the new SoCo Edinburgh development in 2014.
The Canary Wharf and St Andrews Square properties will be owned and managed by Accor, while the other two Edinburgh hotels will be managed by Accor under lease agreements.
Last month Accor opened new Novotel and Ibis properties located within one development south of London's Blackfriars Bridge (see online news November 23).
